The Man Behind the Mission

From being a young boy in Jaipur curious about experiments, to a top student till middle school, to a healthcare professional and finally an entrepreneur, Prabhat Sharma has walked a path full of challenges, learning, and growth. His 16 years of industry experience, resilience during the pandemic, and vision to serve society shaped Labwala into one of the fastest-growing diagnostic networks in India.

After completing higher secondary education, he chose to pursue a Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT). This decision set the foundation for his professional career in healthcare diagnostics. Unlike many students who wait for formal education to end before working, he decided to start early.

Parallel to his studies, he took up his first job as a lab technician trainee. Handling patient samples, observing diagnostic processes, and learning the discipline of healthcare laboratories gave him strong technical knowledge at a young age. This was the beginning of a career that would span over 16 years in the diagnostic industry.

His story is not just about building a company; it is about turning adversity into opportunity, about showing that healthcare can be both affordable and inclusive, and about inspiring others to think beyond jobs and build solutions that truly make a difference.

They launched Labwala, with the vision of making diagnostics more accessible, reliable, and patient-friendly.

The company began with a pioneering initiative—the home collection of COVID-19 RT-PCR samples. At that time, this service was first introduced in Rajasthan, filling a crucial gap in healthcare access during the crisis. The idea of bringing diagnostic services to the doorstep resonated strongly with people, and Labwala quickly gained trust.
